HISTORY
I started Rockfist with one goal in mind: to have fun! The initial idea was to get together a couple times a month with some good friends, have some drinks, and play some great 80s rock and metal covers. We ended up playing a few shows here and there and after seeing the enthusiastic fan response, it dawned on us: we could be pretty successful with this.
The criteria for Rockfist was simple-we'd only play songs from the 80s with no costumes, wigs or other gimmicks. Just a well-executed, professional rock show. We succeeded beyond all of our initial expectations and enjoyed playing regular shows with a strong fan base, with some fans making trips of over two hours to enjoy a show!
Between leaving Epicurean and the start of Rockfist, I wanted to spend my time improving myself as a musician. Challenging myself and learning new keyboard and vocal techniques was my priority. Luckily, along came Rockfist and some amazing friends and fellow makers of rock. Rockfist pushed me, both musically and vocally, and I was able to expand my abilites more than I ever expected.
