HISTORY
Epicurean was formed with the main purpose of being the perfect black metal beast. While so many bands strive to achieve their landmark sound, Epicurean’s world was not bound by the limitations of ‘genre’. You could identify the influences in our music (progressive rock, death, black and gothic metal), yet no one could not put their finger on what genre the band would fall into.
In addition to being the keyboardist of Epicurean, I was also the lead vocalist. Throughout various lineup changes, we always had at least three other capable vocalists to give the band a diverse sound.
The real highlight of performing with Epicurean was being able to compose parts for instruments such as guitar and bass, rather than just focusing on playing keyboards and creating synthetic effects. I also used a number of compositions from my solo album to map out songs that would eventually become some of Epicurean’s strongest pieces.
We quickly moved to recording our debut album “VII.RVI” which was subsequently released by JCM Records. I am especially proud of my vocal and keyboard tracks on the album.
