Musical Experience: Keyboard Player, Soundscapes & Vocals
I am an experienced professional keyboard player and songwriter. I have a history of musical achievement in the Minneapolis music scene, and I’m now living in Austin, Texas.
Playing the piano at the age of four was the beginning of a musical career that has lasted many years and still continues to thrive.
From initially being classically trained, I found myself diverted into genres as diverse as classic and progressive rock, heavy metal, black metal, and industrial music. Playing in bands since high school, I have been influenced by musicians and composers such as Jon Oliva, Kevin Moore, Dan Swanö, Josh Silver and Cevin Key throughout my career.
Band influences include Kings X, Type O Negative, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Savatage, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Katatonia, Amorphis and many others.
My passion for my art has continued to develop and my skills have flourished. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with a range of talented musical professionals, from whom I’ve gained knowledge and shared valuable experiences with, whether we were on the road, in a club, at a festival or in the recording studio. I continue to take every opportunity to develop my keyboard and piano skills as both a working musician and composer, and am currently available for session work or as a synth and keyboard player in an Austin-area rock, metal, country or alternative cover or original band.
